Orion boat cruise to Angthong marine park
Comfortable tour on a large wooden Thai boat to Angthong marine national park from Koh Phangan. Transfer from hotel to songthaew with company label. The pier is located in the fishing backyard in Thong Sala. At registration, each tourist is given stylish bracelets with the name of the boat - “Orion”.
A light continental breakfast awaits you on board - tea, coffee, fruit, biscuits, cereal, milk. Travel time to the first stop in the park for snorkeling - 2 hours. You can comfortably sit on the upper deck with tables under a canopy or sunbathe on the bow of the ship.
On the first floor there is a spacious air-conditioned room with seats where you can even take a comfortable nap.
The first stop is snorkeling, close to Koh Wao. You can admire the underwater world - corals and colorful fish. Unfortunately, in the area of a national park, the water is not often transparent, so visibility is usually not high. You can swim and even jump from the second or third deck to the sea.
After snorkeling - Thai lunch. The main dishes are vegetarian (rice, fried vegetables with tofu, green curry) and chicken.
The next stop is near one of the islets where those who will swim in a kayak are landed. Longtail takes a group of kayakers to the beach, where double kayaks are issued.
A group of guided kayakers set off to Koh Mae Koh Island with a lagoon, making one stop in the middle of the way.
Those who have not booked kayaking, sail on a boat to the island with the Emerald Lake (lagoon). Both groups are found on about. May and rise to the observation platform overlooking the Emerald Lake. Those interested can also go down and admire the lake nearby.
The next and last stop in the park is on Wua Ta lap Island (about one and a half hours), where you can climb the panoramic view point along the Pha Jun-Jaras Nature trail. The climb will take about half an hour (one way), on the trail there are guides-rangers, there is a first-aid kit. The trail is stone steps of different heights with a rope railing. Along the way - six viewing platforms in order to relax and enjoy the views.
If you have already climbed the view point, then this time you can climb to the cave. Lifting is easier and takes less time. The trail starts right from the beach (if facing the sea, then to the right). Or you can stay on the beach - relax in the shade of palm trees, swim, order a fruit shake, a fresh coconut or a cup of coffee at a bar on the beach (open until 16.00).
When you return to the ship you are waiting for tuna sandwiches and return to Samui with a sunset meeting.
The ship arrives at the pier around 18.30-18.40, where transfer cars to your hotel will be waiting for you.
If you wish, you can stay overnight at Wua Ta lap (see our tour “Romantic overnight”). The cost of the tour in this case increases by only 100 Bahts per person (for individual transfer upon return).
Treat yourself to the beauty of the marine national park - one of the most unusual in Thailand, inspired Garland on writing the famous book “The Beach”.
